Job Summary: As a Quality Control Officer (QC Officer), you will be responsible for supporting our production facilities in the preparation, execution and follow-up of audits. You will be part of the Quality and Food Safety Department and work closely with the Quality Process Leads from both plants.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individual goals and KPIs and support colleagues in their individual hygiene capabilities.
- Communicate with McCain Appetizers Europe employees about performance and recognize achievements on a monthly basis.
- Ensure implementation of the cleaning plan and oversee the internal audit system, identifying any gaps and taking actions.
- Manage the quality manual of both facilities and ensure proper document management.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as a result of internal and external audits or customer visits.
- Organize and conduct internal audits and initiate practice rounds for recalls.
- Assist in root cause analysis of deviations.
- Manage supplier complaints in close cooperation with the Purchasing Department.
Prerequisites:
- Technical education at MBO level or higher.
- Knowledge of production processes and packaging equipment in the food industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and escalate issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good command of Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions: You work in an environment where you are occasionally near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes or suspended particles. Noise levels can be high and hearing protection may be required. You also often work in elevated, precarious places.
Protective clothing: You will be provided with protective clothing, including an apron, gloves, hair net, sleeves, waterproof suit, earplugs, safety shoes and safety glasses if necessary.
