As a Sanitation Operator at McCain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our production equipment and workspaces. Your work will support our commitment to safety and quality, preparing our facilities for production in line with company standards.
Your responsibilities
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
- Ensure personal and others’ safety, and challenge unsafe behaviours.
- Perform scheduled cleaning of production areas and equipment.
- Prepare machinery to meet 5S and GMP standards, ensuring readiness for production.
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning tasks, assembly and testing of machinery during changeovers and shutdowns.
- Conduct inspections and maintain accurate cleaning records.
- Manage cleaning inventory and collaborate with external cleaning personnel.
- Address sanitation issues and perform minor maintenance on cleaning equipment.
About you
You have a strong attention to detail, demonstrating precision and accuracy in cleaning tasks and inspections. You will work a 5-day week with rotating shifts (morning/afternoon), and Saturday work may be required on an as-needed basis.
Basic knowledge of food safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) is preferred.
